DirectoryVote was started by directory fanatic Saso in June, 2010.DirectoryVote is quite simple in design, directory fans find there favourite content from whichever source they prefer, and submit it to DirectoryVote in a simple 2-step process. The community of global directory fans active on DirectoryVote then vote and interact on their favourite posts. The voting process is what makes things interesting, the posts on any given day with the most votes are placed on the front page thus giving it more exposure to the greater directory community.
The way the website works was popularised by Digg but DirectoryVote still remains the only social bookmarking website for directory fans.
Our vision is to build DirectoryVote into a meeting-place where directory fans come to check up on the news from there favourite directory source on a daily basis as well find all the great content listed by other directory fans.
